Dysphoria Zine - Respectability: Race/Class
Dysphoria collective exists as a massive fuck you to hetero-cis-sexist-racist-patriarchy and the prevailing ideas of how we should live our lives as trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people.
The Respectability issue focuses on the intersection of race and class, looking at how we navigate the pressure to conform to society's expectations as migrants, badly paid workers, people struggling with mental health, prisoners and activists. Among many things, this edition features stories of mothers winning medals for fulfilling their gender roles, observations as a pre-op transwoman working at a supermarket check out, an interview with a Black Lives Matter activist and an examination of trans prisoner rights in the wake of Chelsea Manning's exoneration.
This is the second edition after 'A Map of Wounds', and is sold on a sliding scale from £6 - £10. You can buy it here.
